A Day of Rest

There are women out there that just love to stay completely busy all the time and enjoy having a big project to work on.

I'm not one of those women.

I think life itself is a big project. With every day activities like cleaning, homework, dinner, laundry, kids, etc, I am hard-pressed for time for anything else. I really don't know how 'those women' do it. I've been crazy busy every week since Thanksgiving with various projects and activities:

-Engagement Party
-Dance Recital
-Chess Tournament
-Trip to St. George
-Family Christmas Party
- Scouts Blue & Gold Banquet
-Science Fair Project
-Emma's Birthday Party
-Olivia's Birthday Party

Add to that Emma's unexpected broken hand, which doubled my work-load each day. It's amazing how much help someone needs when they only have one hand...showers, buttoning pants, pouring milk, brushing hair...it was like having another toddler.

Olivia's birthday party was last night and as I went to sleep, I realized that I don't have to do anything in the morning...or the next morning...or the next morning. In fact, other than my friends wedding in April...I have NOTHING planned (I know, knock on wood, right).

Anyway, it's not like I didn't enjoy all of those things (well, except the broken hand), but having so much to do in such a short amount of time was a little tiring. I'm excited to have some free time to enjoy with my family and friends over the next few months!

I am sooooo with you on this! I love me some downtime, it just doesn't happen often enough. I hate when I am so crazy busy, I don't feel like I am enjoying the moments instead I feel like I'm just going through the motions. YUCK. Glad to hear from you through blogsphere. Next time I'm in Utah we should get everyone together again for lunch. Would love to see you again!
