Livi has been sick since the 8th of this month. I've made light of it...just to help me get through it. Each day I keep thinking, this has to end soon...maybe tomorrow.
However, This morning at 2 a.m, she started throwing up and had a fever over 105. We went to the doctor at noon and she was at 103.7 and this is with Motrin and Tylenol alternating through her system every 4 hours. We still can't break this fever. After going over the last 3 weeks with the doctor, we realized she hasn't eaten solid foods for 20 days. There was an occasional bite here and there, but not enough to gain her strength or build her immune system. He doesn't know what's wrong with her right now. The ulcers in her mouth have healed, the ear infection from last Friday is getting better and she's still on antibiotics so she can't be developing a new bacteria. He said this high of a fever is highly unusual but has to assume it's a new virus.
Anyway, for those of you that are more experienced with illness or have any thoughts on the matter, I am currently accepting advice. Also, please keep Livi in your prayers for the next few days to kick this fever and to get stronger so we can have our rambunctious little girl back. Oh, and maybe a little"holla" for Jeremy and I to find our sanity again to be able to deal with this for a little longer.
Thanks!!

I am so sorry. I really strongly suggest that you have her tested for menangitits. When a child has been sick for a long time it can turn into this. I just want to make sure everything is okay. I will be praying.
Melanie....I'm soooo sorry! Whitney is sick too! She has two teeth that are totally poking through, she's not sleeping (which means I'm not sleeping) she won't eat and last night her temp got to 103!! So, I hear ya. She's got a super bad cold too. Ahhhhhh I feel your pain.
Thanks girlies. Last night she was up a few times, but not as much as the night before. She did wake up with a fever again this morning. The doctor said that by Monday if she's not better they will test her for Meningitis, among other things. I'm just hoping she's better by then!
Andra, sorry about Whit...come on over and we'll have a pitty party with all the food we're not supposed to eat...I'm banning chicken!
I am glad that they will test her if she is not better. A lot of doctors try to talk you out of the test because it is painful, but it can save her life if she has it. I have said a couple of prayers for her. I hope she starts feeling better soon.
