As you should know, we got two extra days off of school. Thursday and Friday, all I did was wait for my birthday on Saturday. My waiting options were, ride my NEW skateboard, play chess, or watch TV. Out of those 48 hours I learned how to do a 360, (on my skateboard.) I got so good at chess I could beat my dad, and I probably spent 5 of those 48 hours watching TV.
Before I knew it, it was my birthday. In the morning, my parents broke out the presents. I got a rocking Frisbee, two video games, a Snuggie, and a Bop It. Man, I played that thing for hours on my birthday. It was addictive, but my mom and dad HATED it. They thought it was so annoying I had to leave at home for the car ride to CornBelly’s. If you’re wondering about CornBelly’s, my mom let me have a choice to go to either a restaurant called Pirate Island with an All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Buffet, with an arcade, or an amusement park called CornBelly’s.
When we came home, my parents gave me a birthday cake with ten candles. I blew them out, knowing, I would never see single digits again.
